Chap.2:Lunch Time...

B-Soo..This is the lunch room.
J-Not bad...I guess.
B-What was your old school like?
J-It was soooooo....fun there. But long story short..It was like a high school for middle schoolers.
B-Which means you guys had a lot of freedom.?.
J-Yes we did. But i guess this school will have to do.(smiles)
B-(smiles back) Soo..How's your first day going so far?
J-At first it was boring..But once i meet you things got better.
B-(high-pitched flirty voice)Really?
J-Yeah! You seem real nice.

(Briana's thoughts:) I thought he liked me..Am I just gonna be that nice girl he met on his first day..or could we be something more??? I sure hope so!..But if not, he needs to let me know because I don't want to continue thinking about him in this way.Especially if friends..is all we'd ever be.

(Jason's thoughts:) I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! I AM SO FREAKING DUMB! DID I REALLY JUST TELL HER THAT SHE WAS NICE??? WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING?? SHE'S MORE THAN NICE SHE'S...SMART, FUNNY, SWEET, GOOFY, GORGEOUS,..AND THE LIST GOES ON! SHE'S SEEMS LIKE THE PERFECT GIRL..OR MAYBE EVEN THE PERFECT GIRLFRIEND. IF I JUST MESSED THINGS UP WITH HER..I WOULD PREFER FOR HER TO TELL ME NOW BECAUSE I CAN'T KEEP FEELING THIS WAY IF THE ONLY THING WE CAN BE IS..FRIENDS.

B-Oh.Thanks.(Half smile)

B-Oh there's Deja! HEY DEJA,OVER HERE!
D-Hey girl!..Whose this?
B-Oh this is Jason. He's new here he's gonna sit with us today.
D-Oh ok. Thanks for asking Briana.
B-DEJA!
D-WHAT!?
B-That was so rude!
D-Girl I'm just joking!

(Deja pulls Briana towards her and whispers in her ear)
D-Do you like him?
B-What would make you ask that?
D-Briana!?
B-Ok. Yeah but I don't know if he feels the same, so we need to keep this on the DL.
D-Iight agreed.

(Now sitting at lunch table)
B-Where's Kyra & Cecily?
D-They right over there here they come.
Cd&K-Hey ya'll!
B,D&J-Hey!.
K-Who dat be?
B-Barb.?
K-What??
B-OhMyGosh! This is Jason he's new here.
C-Hi Jason.
K-Hey,What up?
J-Hi.
D-We finna go get our lunch you coming?
B-Yeah.Ya'll gon' head I'll meet ya'll up there.

(Briana scoots closer to Jason)
B-I'm sorry for my friends.They're...good people when you get to know them.
J-I hope so! That Kyra..Barb.??..Girl scares me.
B-(snickers) It's ok. She wouldn't hurt a fly that girl is soo..sweet.
J-If you say so..I trust you.
B-Really? You only known me for a few hours..?..
J-True. But it seems like there's a side of you that's...indescribably different.
B-Different??
J-Meaning a good different.
B-Good. & Thanks that's sweet.(flirty smile)
J-Your welcome.

(They stare into each others eyes as if hypnotized)

C-Hello? Hellooooo?

(Both snap back to reality)

B-Oh yeah. Huhh whats up?
C-Nothing you were both just staring at each other like ya'll had an eye problem and ya'll couldn't turn ya'll neck.
D-Cecily. Just shut up.
K-Yeah Cecily. You don't see what they were doing.
C-Nooo...?..
K-Oh My Gosshh Dummy! They were staring into each others eyes, as if they were passionately in love.(Spoken in a dreamy love voice)
D-KYRA!
K-Oh Shit.

(Bell rings. Lunch is over)
B-Dang I didn't get a chance to eat!..
J-It's ok! I have four sandwiches in my locker?
B-Four???
J-Yeah. When I'm nervous I eat ALOT!
B-Ha. Thanks! Are you nervous?
J-No..Not really..We'll not if Kyra leaves.(smiles)
K-What the hell I got...

(Convo. Interrupted.)
Mr.Daniels-Everyone go to class. NOW!
B,J,K,D,&C-Yes sir.

(Everyone goes their separate ways to their class.)
